Welcome to Year 5B
Hi all, my name is Mrs Juliet Uzor, our blog page will have information on the interesting things that we have been doing in class and also details of the fantastic trips that we go on. Our latest year group newsletter can be found under the News and Events page. There you will find the work we are planning to do this term.

Year 5B enjoyed writing letters to real audiences, so we decided to see how many types of Blue Peter badges the class can collect. We looked at different types of badges that you can now get. A special well done to all the children for writing to Blue Peter and for being awarded Blue Peter badges. We had a great time with the scientists from Smashfest who gave us a deeper understanding of how volcanos work. We can’t wait to visit Smashfest during the half term with our families!
Our Hampton court visit was a blast and we had fun taking ourselves back to the Tudor times. Here are a range of pictures to tell the story.

We have worked extremely hard in all areas of our learning this term and for this, we are very proud!
One area we really enjoyed is PE where we explored different aspects of gymnastics in pairs and in teams. It was really fun especially when we used the wall apparatus in our sequences.
This term has been fun packed so far and we can’t wait for what our teachers have in store for us!

Year 5B started the Autumn Term with a bang!
We have done an immense amount of learning so far, not forgetting our trip to the National Maritime Museum in support of our learning about the Vicious Vikings. We had the opportunity to take part in a Viking market place activity and a lot of us really got into role acting as Viking traders. Fun times! Have a good look at these pictures and let them do the storytelling!
