How to Become a School Advocate

School Advocates are chosen using an election system. Anybody can apply to be an advocate by writing a manifesto based on what changes they would like to see in the school and how they would go about implementing those changes. They will then read out their manifestos to their classes and the children are voted in by the pupils in their class.

What We Do

There are different types of meetings that take place as a School Advocate. Sometimes, just the Senior Advocates meet to set the agenda for a Whole School Advocate meeting, and as a result of this, a Whole School Advocate meet. As well as this, advocates are able to hold meetings in their class or with adults to discuss changes that they or their peers would like to see.

School Advocates also hold Federation Meetings whereby Advocates from both Grinling Gibbons and Lucas Vale meet to discuss and share ideas. We also report termly to governors in the form of a PowerPoint presentation.

Please see below for our most recent presentations to the Governors.
